Canal Museum Commemorates Patriotic Act with Free Entry

The Canal Museum in Panama invites the public to its program of activities, designed to foster reflection, learning, and community creation through special tours, commemorative events, and creative workshops for young people and adults. This Friday, January 9th, the Canal Museum will open its doors free of charge to nationals and residents to commemorate the Patriotic Gesta. This date is a key moment in Panama's history, and the museum seeks to create a space for reflection on the milestones that led to national sovereignty. Visitors will act as heritage guardians and designers, culminating the experience with the opening of their own exhibition. The opening hours will be from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with the ticket office closing at 4:30 p.m. To delve deeper into the events of 1964, a special guided tour will take place on Sunday, January 11th, at 2:00 p.m. Access to this tour requires payment of the regular museum entrance fee. From January 27th to 30th, 2026, the Canal Museum will develop the 'Summer Behind the Scenes' program, aimed at boys and girls aged 8 to 12.
