'Vibra Panamá': Panama's Cultural Agenda for January 9-16, 2026

Panama City, Panama — The Ministry of Culture (MiCultura) has announced the launch of its new cultural agenda, 'Vibra Panamá,' for the week of January 9-16, 2026. The program, spanning various provinces, offers free and family-friendly activities aimed at fostering civic participation and access to the arts.

The week kicks off on January 9 with historically significant events. At 10:00 a.m., the Museum of Contemporary Art will host a guided tour, 'In Memory of January 9, 1964.' Simultaneously, the National Library of Panama will present the 'Japanese Calendars' exhibition. In the interior of the country, the Flowers and Coffee Fair begins in Boquete, Chiriquí, running until January 18.

For the weekend of January 10-11, activities include a recycling drive at Benito Juárez Park at 9:00 a.m. and theatrical performances of 'Willy Wonka' at the ABA Theater. Sunday highlights the 2026 Musical Fair at the Omar Park Dome at 11:00 a.m., complemented by the Family Sunday at MAC Casco in the Satellite Hall of the Old Town.

Starting Monday, January 12, various summer workshops will commence, including painting classes for children in Chitré and art training at the San Felipe Neri Market. In the Los Santos region, on January 14, the 'Grand Prelude to the Thousand Polleras' will take place in La Villa, featuring traditional dances and artistic performances at Simón Bolívar Park.

The agenda concludes with the Panama Jazz Festival at the City of Knowledge. From January 14, there will be free concerts by artists like Lucas Falla, followed by master classes with figures such as Danilo Pérez and Terri Lyne Carrington, and high-level evening performances at the Ateneo. Finally, on January 16, the tradition moves to Pedasí for the celebration of the Junta de Embarra.
