La Calle de los Sombreros in the Casco Antiguo was filled with color and tradition for a new edition of the festival, an event promoted by the Municipality of Panama. This marks the welcome to summer in the Capital District in a family-friendly and cultural atmosphere. Approximately 1,500 hats, donated by the private sector with the support of artisan Aniel Beltrán from the Guayacano Hat brand, were given to the public. The event offered an experience where residents and visitors enjoyed music, gastronomy, crafts, and tours of this emblematic space in the Casco Antiguo. This edition of the festival marks the renewal and reactivation of La Calle de los Sombreros, an urban intervention inaugurated on January 5, 2025, which continues to consolidate itself as a cultural and tourist point in the city. The Municipality of Panama reiterated that it will continue to develop this type of cultural and recreational activities that promote tourism, strengthen local identity, and revitalize public spaces in the Capital District.
