The platform also conducted a cleanup to determine which of the more than 2,000 books were still available, as users constantly reported that the site showed a book as available, but when contacting the owner, it had already been sold or donated. The platform, created in 2020 by Yovanka Ramírez through Dreams Panamá, reaffirms its commitment to encouraging books to continue circulating, and one way to do this is with the fair, which has been extended from one day to a weekend. Ramírez told Panamá América that in addition to being able to take one or two books for free this year, they will have guests such as independent writers and literature of all genres, from novels and specialized texts to school books, as well as travel and cookbooks. (...) 'The offer is quite large,' said Ramírez, who closely supervises the books that will be available at the fair. Admission to the event, which will take place at the Art Gallery of painter Mario Saldaña (Vía Argentina), is free, and it will be held on the following schedule: January 30 (from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.), January 31 (from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.), and February 1 (from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.). To guarantee availability, the site automatically hides posted books, so users must update the status from their accounts: available, sold, or donated.
