Panama Prepares for Volumen Caribe 2026 Carnival

Panama is preparing for the Volumen Caribe 2026 carnival, which will take place from February 13 to 17 on the Cinta Costera waterfront. Panama City Mayor Mayer Mizrachi stated that the festival's goal is to show the world what the country can achieve when it works seriously. Last year, the event attracted 168,000 people, with one day reaching 33,000 attendees, and generated an economic impact of $30 million, benefiting dozens of micro-entrepreneurs. This year, the festival will be even larger: four stages, over 100 artists, a gastronomic boulevard, and free family-friendly activities. A new feature will be cultural activations in the Casco Antiguo (Old Town) and over 100 spots for entrepreneurs. Admission to the festival will be free. The event will be supported by the National Police to ensure the safety of attendees. The mayor emphasized that the festival is not just about entertainment but also about providing an opportunity for local residents and businesses to profit. "He who sells also wins," he said. This year, organizers plan to surpass last year's figures by attracting more partners and stages. The musical program will include salsa for the classics, merengue to sweat, soca and dancehall to break loose, and reggaeton and tropical mixes for the youth. A children's area and inflatable attractions will also be available.
