Panama Crossroads 2026: A Gastronomic Journey Through Six Centuries

The Panama Crossroads festival returns for its fourth edition, offering a unique gastronomic experience that transcends conventional tasting to become a historical journey through the country's culinary identity. From January 29 to 31, 2026, chefs in Panama will present six centuries of cultural influences through a communal kitchen, an innovative food court, and author cocktails. Tickets are now available.

The Panama Crossroads festival in its fourth edition will integrate live cooking and mixology. Renowned chefs such as Cuquita Arias de Calvo and Fulvio Miranda will lead a communal kitchen that narrates the evolution of Panamanian culture through the palate. These live demonstrations will take place on a stage designed with the iconic shape of the Panama Crossroads crosses, symbolizing the intersection of cultures in each dish. The offering will be complemented by a Food Court that will bring together street and modern food proposals from Esa Flaca Rica, Barrio Pizza, Invernadero, and Xawarma Guys. Under the concept that flavors tell stories, the event, to be held from January 29 to 31, 2026, will consolidate a space where cooking becomes the narrative axis of six centuries of cultural influences. The gastronomic heart of the festival will feature a communal kitchen integrated by six renowned Panamanian chefs: Cuquita Arias de Calvo, Andrea Pinzón, Fulvio Miranda, Alex Rodríguez, Ericka Rodríguez, and Armando J. Bramwell. Each will represent the currents that have forged the local menu: Amerindian cuisine, European-Spanish heritage, Afro-Antillean flavors, North American influence, Chinese tradition, and contemporary mixing. The drink experience will be elevated by guest bars from El Boticario and La Bárbara, whose mixologists will create exclusive signature cocktails for the festival and train the bar staff to ensure a high-level sensory exploration. This encounter celebrates the crossings of traditions and techniques, keeping the essence of Panamanian gastronomy alive through mobile juice stands and pipa water stands. In a bet on technological innovation, attendees will be able to speed up their orders through the PedidosYa app, accessing fast lanes for food pickup.
