The Ministry of Culture announces the Cultural Agenda for the summer of 2026. The National Government presents an extensive program that covers from international festivals in Colón to orange fairs in Coclé. The Ministry of Culture has officially launched the Cultural Agenda that will govern recreational and educational activities from today, January 30, until next February 7, 2026. Under the slogan 'With a Firm Step,' the State seeks to consolidate spaces for citizen coexistence and artistic training in various points of the national territory, integrating both the capital and the central provinces and areas of difficult access. Diversity of events and regional fairs The programming of this cycle kicks off with a strong presence in the interior of the country. In the province of Coclé, the XLIII National Orange Fair in Churuquita Grande and the exhibition 'Ancestral Lineages of Coclé' at the Penonomé Museum stand out. In turn, the province of Chiriquí celebrates the Candelaria Expo Festival in Bugaba and the International Folk Festival of the Almojábana with Cheese, events that highlight the richness of regional traditions. On the Caribbean side, the Center for Art and Culture of Colón is the venue for the International Caribbean Festival, offering free admission to enjoy artistic expressions typical of the area. This decentralization of the Cultural Agenda allows the impact of human and social development to reach communities outside the metropolitan area. Innovation, cinema, and citizen participation The training offer includes the 'Mobile Micro-Histories' program in Darién, where workshops on cell phone filmmaking are taught, and 'Little Summer Behind the Scenes' at the Canal Museum, aimed at the child population. Likewise, the agenda contemplates the use of modern spaces such as the City of Knowledge for the percussion event 'Full Moon of Drums' and the canal cinema cycle at the Ascanio Arosemena Auditorium. Finally, the Ministry of Culture emphasizes that this Cultural Agenda is the ideal framework for the population to participate in the Citizen Consultation of the National Plan of Cultures. This process seeks to collect the opinion of Panamanians to strengthen the country's cultural fabric, while enjoying a varied program that closes on February 7 with the 'Night at the Biomuseum' and literary presentations at the Currao Site.
