A tree in poor condition finally fell in the Carrasquilla neighborhood, bringing down part of the power lines. Some cables were left dangling, causing concern among pedestrians and drivers in the area during rush hour. Units from the Panama Fire Department arrived at the scene and began work to cut down and remove the tree. The priority was to clear the street and prevent accidents, while assessing the risks from the fallen power lines. The company reported that work will continue until safe conditions are guaranteed. The tree trunk and branches were left blocking the road, forcing a reduction in traffic. The fall occurred between 72nd and 66th Streets, affecting areas such as La Loma and San Francisco, where several residents lost power. Naturgy Panama has sent technical teams to assess the damage to the power grid and begin restoring electricity service to the affected areas.
