Passengers of a metrobus experienced moments of tension in the early morning of this Thursday after criminals attacked the vehicle with stones on the North Corridor, in the Chilibre area, in North Panama. According to the Panama Mass Transportation company: "In the early morning of this February 12, 2026, in the Chilibre area, at the height of Tropigas, an act of vandalism against bus 661 of MiBus was recorded." They explained that a person threw a stone that hit the bus, causing damage to its windows. In a video circulating on social media, bus occupants recount that the stone hit a woman, but according to the company: "No injuries were reported." Apparently, those involved in this incident wanted to stop the bus. Instead, the driver continued to advance and notified the National Police of what happened. The company issued a statement through its social networks ensuring that: "Each act of vandalism means another bus out of circulation."
