On the occasion of Carnival celebrations, the Panama Metro announced a special operating schedule to facilitate the travel of thousands of users who will participate in the festivities of "King Momo" in the capital and nearby areas. Authorities urged citizens to respect the rules and plan their trips in advance to enjoy the festivities responsibly and without setbacks.
Security Measures In addition to the special schedule, the administration reiterated a series of rules that users must comply with within the facilities and trains. The entity informed that the service will remain active during the following hours: Saturday 14: 5:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m. Sunday 15: 7:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m. Monday 16: 5:00 a.m. – 11:00 p.m. Tuesday 17: 7:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m. Wednesday 18: 5:00 a.m. – 11:00 p.m.
The Metro emphasized that these adjustments aim to offer a safe, fast, and reliable transportation alternative during the days of greatest mobility due to carnival activities. During these days, it will be prohibited to enter with coolers, to enter with wet clothing or body, to enter in a state of drunkenness or under the effects of illicit substances. The transport of pyrotechnics, explosives, or flammable materials is also restricted, as well as covering the face in a way that prevents the identification of the person.
