Panama - A person lost their life this Friday afternoon in the area of Coastal Strip No. 3, near the headquarters of the Presidency of the Republic, heading towards the Bridge of the Americas. The preliminary report details that the person was attempting to cross the road near the roundabout located there, when they were hit by a white sedan. The impact was so strong that the person died instantly, and their body was left on the roadside. Paramedics from the Unified Emergency Management System (SUME-911) arrived at the scene, but could do nothing for the victim. The Accidentology staff was in charge of collaborating with the staff of the Institute of Legal Medicine and Forensic Sciences (Imelcf) in the procedure of removing the body. An investigation is underway to determine who was at fault, the pedestrian or the sedan driver.
