The Public Ministry (MP) announced tonight the beginning of an investigation into the explosion of several tank trucks registered on the premises of the Bridge of the Americas on the afternoon of April 6, where one person died. The investigation is being ex officio by the Homicide and Femicide Section of the Metropolitan Prosecutor's Office. As part of the proceedings, specialized teams are conducting technical inspections in the area, in addition to collecting evidence and conducting interviews to clarify what happened. Earlier, firefighters managed to extinguish the fire in the tank trucks after several hours of work. Two firefighters were injured. Traffic on the Bridge of the Americas was suspended until Tuesday afternoon.
