The director of the Social Security Fund (CSS), Dino Mon, has ordered an internal investigation to clarify the chaos that occurred this morning in the City of Health, where more than 2,000 users, both from the capital and the interior of the country, came to schedule medical appointments for specialties corresponding to the year 2026.
Mon acknowledged that the simultaneous opening of the system to schedule appointments generated long lines and discomfort among patients, who were affected by the lack of organization. However, he indicated that the investigations will allow to establish responsibilities.
The director classified the incident as a serious error and assured that the entity will evaluate measures to improve the appointment scheduling process, in order to avoid new delays and improve the user experience. Mon also guaranteed that today the appointment slots for all people who went to the City of Health will be fulfilled.
The director also admitted that at this moment it is unknown who gave the order to open the system without the necessary coordination to manage the flow of patients.
