To mark World Hearing Day on March 3, Panama has launched a campaign titled 'Change the Mindset.' The initiative aims to transform social perceptions about ear care and establish children's hearing health as a national wellness priority. As a symbol of this effort, buildings like the ACP, Electoral Tribunal, and National Bank of Panama will be illuminated in orange and aqua blue until March 5, reminding the public of the importance of protecting their hearing. The campaign is built on three essential pillars: overcoming stigma, ensuring universal access, and investing with purpose. The 'Hear is to Live' Foundation conducted hearing tests in San Miguelito and performed free otoscopies at the metro station. The foundation emphasized that hearing loss is not an inevitable consequence of aging and stressed the importance of early detection.
