Nestlé Panama celebrated the closing of the second edition of the Copa Nestlé ¡Qué Rico! 2026, reaffirming its role as the official sponsor of the federation, supporting sports talent from its earliest stages.
As part of the Copa Nestlé legacy, the General Manager of Nestlé Panama, Rodrigo Romera, announced a donation of $10,000 to the Panama City Municipality and another $10,000 to the San Miguelito Municipality.
Copa Nestlé promotes child development through donations and sustainability programs. Nestlé Panama announced a $20,000 donation for sports infrastructure after the conclusion of the Copa Nestlé, an event that managed to collect over 2,230 pounds of recyclable material.
Throughout the competition, held at the Sportcenter in Costa del Este, the Copa Nestlé integrated spaces for sports nutrition and motivational talks under the global "Nestlé for Healthy Children" program.
The Samuels Academy was the winner by collecting 332 pounds of plastic, receiving an incentive of $1,000 for the acquisition of sports supplies.
With the closing of this edition, the Copa Nestlé strengthens its bond with Panamanian families, leaving a positive impact that transcends the field by promoting values, healthy habits, and care for the planet.
Sandra Jiménez, Director of Culinaries for Nestlé Central America, highlighted that the initiative seeks to form more active and committed citizens with their environment through concrete actions that impact communities.
The tournament had the backing of the Panamanian Football Federation, which allowed for the granting of 10 scholarships for the D Coaching License.
Additionally, through the "Team of the Future" campaign, Quesos Nestlé ¡Qué Rico! provided 10 scholarships to participate in the Copa Nestlé.
These funds are destined for the improvement of community sports infrastructure, guaranteeing safe spaces for childhood.
In the area of sustainability, the "Reciclando Ando con Maggi" recycling contest, carried out in alliance with LeafsinC, managed to collect a total of 2,230 pounds of recyclable material.
Copa Nestlé ¡Qué Rico! 2026 was a children's and youth football tournament that for a month promoted physical activity, balanced nutrition, and environmental awareness.
