The IDAAN informs that the Federico Guardia Conte potabilization plant in Chilibre is operating at 90% after a failure was detected in the motor of one of the pumps at the treated water pumping station, which will be repaired, thus avoiding major problems.
Our specialists carried out the technical evaluations to obtain the diagnosis and proceed with the required repair work.
It should be noted that we are in the process of replacing four motors at the station, which have already been acquired by the IDAAN, and we are awaiting delivery from the supplier. In this way, we will increase efficiency and improve distribution.
During this repair period, the drinking water supply may be affected or low pressure may occur at high and distant points in the distribution network in Panama and San Miguelito. Therefore, we ask the entire population, in solidarity with these sectors, to consume responsibly and to take care of drinking water.
