The victim reacted quickly and called the police; a patrol in the area responded to the call. Officers pursued the criminals who were fleeing in a car and managed to apprehend them shortly after the robbery. It was during a routine search that the officers found, in the possession of one of the suspects, a firearm with its magazine and three live rounds, which is presumed to be the one used to threaten the victim. After contacting the victim through the digital Marketplace platform to sell a car, the criminals lured her to the area known as El Colmenar, supposedly to carry out the transaction. Upon arriving at the location, the suspects, covering their faces with scarves, threatened the victim, held her at gunpoint with a firearm carried by one of them, and robbed her of cash and a necklace. Panama - 144 and 84 months in prison were sentenced, through a plea agreement, two men for the crimes of robbery and illegal possession of a firearm, after being apprehended last Friday following a false purchase of a vehicle. During the multiple requests hearing, representatives of the Second Section of Crimes against Economic Heritage of the Metropolitan Prosecutor's Office presented sufficient evidence linking them to the incident that occurred on December 5 in El Colmenar, located in the Ernesto Córdoba Campos district.
