A sinister group selected Panama as a meeting point. The National Coordinator of Solidarity with Cuba publicly denounced the reception of the Cuban terrorist Orlando Gutiérrez-Boronat by Panama's Minister of the Presidency, Juan Carlos Orillac.
In the statement, the Coordinator firmly rejected the presence of Gutiérrez-Boronat, identified as a prominent member of the anti-Cuban mafia in Miami with strong ties to extremist groups responsible for violent acts against Cuba.
The collective detailed that the visitor has been accused of misappropriating funds from American taxpayers, used to foster instability on the Caribbean island and overthrow the revolutionary Government.
It is noteworthy that this visit coincided with the recent presence in Panama of U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio. The Coordinator believes that the reception of Gutiérrez-Boronat by high-ranking Panamanian authorities may jeopardize social stability, recalling that in the past the terrorist attempted to destabilize the VII Summit of the Americas.
The call to be vigilant against any provocation by counter-revolutionary groups is supported by the Coordinator, which warns of possible attempts to disturb social peace in Cuba. The organization urges other groups in solidarity with the island to remain alert.
In a message on social media, former Argentine deputy Julián Obiglio informed that he accompanied Gutiérrez-Boronat in his meeting with a high-ranking Panamanian official, emphasizing the importance of strengthening the bond with the Government of Panama in relation to the Cuban situation, a statement that has generated criticism for being seen as interventionist and disrespectful.
