Management Balance and Achievements in West Panama

As a summary of the management carried out during the year 2025, the vice-minister highlighted that the period was productive, mentioning the completion and delivery of the Ciudad Esperanza project in Arraiján.

Vice-minister Fernando Méndez participated in the Provincial Council of West Panama to reaffirm Miviot's focus on sustainability and long-term urban planning, highlighting the year's achievements and future priorities.

The objective is to take note of the needs and demands, with a view to determining the focal points for the new year 2026 and generating ideas that contribute to the comprehensive improvement of the province of West Panama.

Miviot Reaffirms Commitment to Urban Planning and Listening to Needs in West Panama

Vice-minister of Housing, Fernando Méndez, participated in the Monthly Meeting of the Provincial Council of West Panama to reaffirm its commitment to long-term urban planning and sustainability.

The vice-minister was accompanied by architect Doris Henríquez, Director of Informal Settlements, and the Regional Director of Miviot in La Chorrera, Ariel Guevara.

Miviot's Commitment to the Community

Méndez expressed his gratitude to the president of the Council, Roberto Morán, representative of the Cabuya district, for the invitation, highlighting the constant collaboration and support provided to the representatives throughout the year.

However, he assured that the team's will and attitude persist, and all cases are in process, being handled to the maximum of their capacity.

Focus and Priorities for 2026

The visit to the Provincial Council had the primary purpose of listening firsthand to the District Representatives.

He informed that in the coming weeks and months, more project deliveries will be finalized, including police substations.

In addition, a plot of land was allocated to the Mortgage Bank for the construction of a school.

Progress in Informal Settlements

Regarding informal settlements, it was detailed that the Directorate has carried out work from Arraiján to La Chorrera, including notifications, drafting of plans, and assistance to affected or spaceless people, relocating them to different points.

The Vice-minister acknowledged the limitations of budgetary and human resources that the team faces, especially the lack of draftsmen for plans.
