Seven criminals will spend the December holidays behind bars after being caught red-handed in the early hours of this morning while attempting to rob a wholesale and import merchandise store located in the Parque Lefevre district. The armed subjects cut through part of the fence to enter the warehouse, subdued the security guard, and disarmed him of his regulation firearm—a 9mm pistol—but the store's alarm was triggered. Upon receiving the alert, units from the National Police responded and thwarted the crime. The preliminary investigation details that all apprehended individuals have criminal records, some for illegal possession of a firearm and others for drug-related offenses. One of them was even a victim of an assassination attempt. Following their capture, all suspects, along with the three women from whom firearms were seized, were taken to the Parque Lefevre substation before being handed over to the relevant authorities.
