The appeal hearing against the precautionary measure ordered to those involved in the Nodriza case, which involves César Caicedo, has been rescheduled for next Monday, December 29, at 8:30 a.m. According to Prosecutor William Granados, the change of date for the hearing, which was supposed to take place this Tuesday, was ordered because three of the defendants' lawyers did not attend the event for unknown reasons. César Caicedo Asprilla, his brother Carlos, and another individual were placed under house arrest as a precautionary measure, while the other five were subject to periodic reporting. This operation allowed the dismantling of a criminal organization dedicated to drug-related crimes, which maintained its operational center within the country and was allegedly led by a Colombian citizen and César Caicedo (father of Dayra Caicedo, who was deprived of her liberty at the beginning of the year). The eight individuals involved in this case appeared today at the headquarters of the Accusatory Penal System in Plaza Fortuna, located in Villa Lucre, to participate in the appeal hearing in room 5. On December 4, following the Nodriza Operation, the suspects were judicially processed and charged with conspiracy to commit drug trafficking-related crimes. At the beginning of this month, the Drug Prosecutor's Office and the National Police carried out the Nodriza Operation in the provinces of West Panama and Panama, following an investigation that began in March 2023. One of them was attended by paramedics as he was suffering from health issues.
