Odebrecht Trial: Third Attempt and New Disagreements

This is the third attempt of this kind within the process, while the trial continues. The trial for the Odebrecht case resumed this Wednesday at the Gil Ponce Palace, marked by the enormous amount of documents that the Prosecutor's Office is trying to incorporate as extraordinary evidence. During the session, the defenses focused their objections on the volume of papers, alleging lack of time to review them and questioning copies, translations, and evidence from abroad. The inclusion of protected testimonies that could not be confronted in trial was also rejected, indicating a possible state of defenselessness for the accused. In the middle of the hearing, the judge declared a recess not only due to the length of the session but also to evaluate a new plea agreement.
