With the presence of the Minister of Government, Dinoska Montalvo, the first headquarters of a Community Court was inaugurated this Tuesday in the city of Panama. Located at the former site of the DIJ headquarters in the Don Bosco district, the facility will provide important support to some 70,000 inhabitants of this populous capital sector. Minister of Government, Dinoska Montalvo, highlighted the initiative taken by the representative of the Don Bosco district, Pier Janson, so that its residents could have a suitable place with optimal conditions to provide the service the community requires. "The idea is for citizens to come to solve problems, find solutions, and maintain peaceful coexistence," pointed out the minister, "so that community justice is much more accessible and close to everyone." The Don Bosco Community Court is the first with its own headquarters in the capital city; "it's like a model house," explained Minister Montalvo, which has a suitable facility for the use of technology, allowing for the implementation of digital files. "The citizen will have a much more formal experience than what was done before. Don Bosco is the example of what we want to achieve in terms of community security and justice at the national level," she explained. The representative of Don Bosco, Pier Janson, highlighted the importance of having been able to establish, together with the Ministry of Government, a permanent headquarters for the Community Court of the district. "The people of Don Bosco used to be served at the Juan Díaz court, now the service will be in the community itself, seeking to solve problems between neighbors and preventing conflicts from escalating," stated Janson. The Don Bosco Community Board managed to secure the premises to establish the Community Court, as well as its remodeling and equipment, while the Ministry of Government proceeds with the appointment of personnel to serve the citizens. "The main benefit is that we have a house to resolve situations between neighbors, maintaining peace in the Don Bosco community," indicated the representative. The Don Bosco Community Court will operate from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday to Friday, located in Los Robles Sur.
