A young man was murdered on Saturday night in the corregimiento of Las Mañanitas, located in the eastern part of the capital district. According to preliminary information, the incident occurred in Villa Esther, a neighborhood located behind the Villa Daniela slum. The victim, known as Deivys, was 14 years old and was shot, falling face down on the side of the road. It appears he tried to escape from the hitmen, as he was found without shoes at the place where he was injured. It is presumed that the victim lived near the area where the attack occurred, as his family arrived at the scene minutes after the incident and managed to transport him to the emergency room of the Irma De Lourdes Tzanetatos Hospital on their own. However, he died at the entrance to the medical center, so the on-duty doctors could only confirm that he had already died. So far, the authorities have not reported the arrest of any suspect related to this homicide.
