The Panamanian Swimming Federation (FPN) has officially announced the visit of Argentine swimmer Macarena Ceballos, an athlete with world championship and Olympic experience, who will be in the country from November 27 to 30, 2025.
Her participation is part of the IV National Concentration, a program that aims to strengthen the preparation of Panamanian swimmers with a view to the IV South American Games 2026, to be held in Panama City. The athlete's presence represents a boost for the sports development that the FPN maintains in constant growth, focused on the technical training of athletes and coaches.
The president of the Panamanian Swimming Federation, Franz Wever Otero, highlighted the importance of the initiative. He stated that having the presence of a world and Olympic-level swimmer will significantly contribute to the exchange of ideas, experiences, and technique improvements, which will be useful for young Panamanian swimmers. Wever Otero also extended his gratitude to the Panama Olympic Committee and the General Directorate of Pandeportes for the National Coaches Network program, highlighting the benefit that the FPN has been able to draw from this initiative and anticipating its continuity in future administrations.
In parallel, the FPN has called for the National Swimming Championship 2025, inviting all swimmers in the country to participate in this key event of the aquatic calendar. Regarding the competition, President Franz Wever Otero explained that the National Championship will bring together the best 300 swimmers at the national level, covering all categories, from 7 years old to 30 years and older. This year, the venue for the event will be the Olympic Pool of David, a facility that, according to the FPN, meets the minimum requirements for a local competition. The National Championship will serve as a platform to identify new sporting talents, strengthening the pool of athletes who will represent the country in future international commitments.
