Panamanian Boxer Carlos Rodríguez to Fight at 'Fire against Fire' Event

Undefeated Panamanian boxer Carlos 'El Gallero' Rodríguez will fight at the 'Fire against Fire' event in Panama City on December 13th. He faces Costa Rican Denis Espinoza Centeno in an 8-round bout. The main event is a fight for the vacant national lightweight title.

The undefeated Panamanian boxer Carlos 'El Gallero' Rodríguez has been included in the 'Fire against Fire' card, which will take place next Saturday, December 13th, at the Tierra de Campeones Atheyna Bylon Gym, on the Coastal Strip.

In the event, in honor of the sporting glory of Ismael Laguna and organized by Master Promotions and Guantes de Acero, 'El Gallero' Rodríguez will face the Costa Rican Denis Espinoza Centeno in an 8-round bout at 115 pounds.

'El Gallero' Rodríguez remains undefeated in his professional career with eight fights (one draw) and will look to continue his streak without a loss.

Another bout added to this card is between Panamanian Eusebio Acevedo and Mexican José Guillermo Alvarado at 8 rounds and 135 pounds.

Meanwhile, Antonio Tzamaernda (Ecuador) will face Ezequiel Bonilla (Panama) at 6 rounds and 108 pounds.

The 'Fire against Fire' event is headlined by the vacant national lightweight title fight between Jaime Arboleda and Orlando 'El Virus' Mosquera at 10 rounds.

For the Latin Super Welterweight Championship of the World Boxing Organization (WBO), Cuban Alex Esponda will face Colombian Maykol 'El Diamante' Mendoza at 10 rounds.

Puerto Rican Derriek Cuevas will face Panamanian Rafael Bethancourt at 8 rounds and 154 pounds.

In other bouts on the card, William 'El Chatel' Vargas (Nicaraguan-Panamanian) vs. Tony 'El Patriota' Gómez (Venezuela) at 6 rounds and 135 pounds; Yuki Asaka (Japan) vs. José Luis Martínez (Panama) at 4 rounds and 105 pounds; Rubén Soto (United States) vs. Denilson Chavarría (Nicaragua) at 6 rounds and 126 pounds; Lorena Ascanio (Venezuela) vs. Yacksury Gordon (Panama) at 6 rounds and 118 pounds; Jardiel Rodríguez (Darién) vs. Iván Vergara (Panama) at 4 rounds and 147 pounds; and Eduar Martínez vs. Gregorio Francis at 4 rounds and 130 pounds.
