Gonzalo García, head coach of the Panama basketball team, acknowledged that his team suffered a crushing defeat to Uruguay with a score of 93-60 in the first match of the World Cup qualifiers. The game was held at the Roberto Durán Arena in Panama City.

"Today, I think we failed in almost everything," García said at a press conference after the match.

Despite the mistakes made by the national team, García highlighted Uruguay's excellent performance, which was very effective from beyond the arc.

"There's a game in two days, and we need to change our approach, move forward, face what's coming, make the necessary adjustments, and go out to play," said Juan González Quintero.

The match this Sunday against Uruguay in Montevideo is scheduled for 7:40 PM (Panama time) and will be broadcast live in Panama by COS (TIGO).

"They played in the Ameri Cup windows, they played in the Ameri Cup, and that is felt on the court because they have many games together, many training sessions together, and that makes a difference when they play," said the Argentine coach working with Panama.

However, he noted that now it is necessary to analyze the mistakes made and correct them before the next match against Uruguay this Sunday, November 30th, in Montevideo.

"We will analyze the game video to correct errors, make tactical changes, and hope the team performs better in the next game," the strategist pointed out.

Justin Quintero was also present at the press conference and did not hide the team's frustration from the defeat.

"We were very far from what was expected in an international match of this caliber. There are really things we need to improve," he said.

"No one likes to lose at home as we did today, but we already talked about it in the locker room, and we have to change our face."
