Aradia Wins Benemérito Cuerpo de Bomberos Classic in Panama

On Sunday, November 30th, the Hipódromo Presidente Remón hosted the main event, the Clásico Benemérito Cuerpo de Bomberos de la República de Panamá. The winner of this prestigious competition was the two-year-old filly Aradia, ridden by jockey Yonis Lasso. Aradia, a daughter of Preservationist out of Hello Dearie by Giant’s Causeway, ran under the colors of Chestnut Hill Stable and was trained by the renowned Alberto Paz Rodríguez. The filly completed the 1,200-meter course in 1:11.25, with splits of 22.35 seconds for the first 400 meters and 46.25 seconds for the first 800. The official finish order was as follows: 1. Aradia; 2. Ataviada; 3. Gold Basin; 4. Volatile Girl; 5. Golden Kake. Present in the winner's circle were Carlos De Oliveira, Director of the Hipódromo; Alberto Paz Rodríguez Jr., and members of the Benemérito Cuerpo de Bomberos de la República de Panamá, who joined the celebration in honor of this distinguished institution.
