Panama, Mexico, and Puerto Rico — the three competing nations. The Caribbean Racing Series, Panama 2025, will feature six major races on Sunday, while Saturday will host the Mother's Classic and see the debut of new apprentices.
Panama narrowly leads the Caribbean Classics with 16 winners, followed by Venezuela with 15, Mexico with 14, Puerto Rico with 8, and Colombia and the Dominican Republic with 1 each.
Among the most winning jockeys of these Classics is the Venezuelan Emisael Jaramillo with 5 victories, 3 of them consecutively: in 2010, 2011, and 2012.
This year, at the colossal Juan Díao track, jockeys of the caliber of Puerto Rican Irak Ortiz Jr., who is currently one of the best in the world, will compete. Ortiz Jr. will be riding Lodyto Race (Mex). Also arriving is Luis Sáez to guide Brigo (Pan) and Luis Arango Cholo Moon (Pan).
Miguel Vásquez will be on Sol Auyan Tepuy, and Lorenzo Lezcano will ride Escapada, while Sol Catire Bello will have Ariosto Delgado in the saddle. The Puerto Rican horse Radiologo will be ridden by Juan Díaz, and Thomas Shelby will be guided by Yonis Lasso.
The races will be held over 1800 meters on Sunday and will include the six races of the Racing Series: Dama del Caribe, Confraternidad (for males and females), Velocidad e Invitational.
There are approximately 900 parking spaces available for the public.
