Panama Ready for 2025 Caribbean Racing Series

Panama is ready for the Caribbean Racing Series 2025, which will take place this Sunday, December 7th, at the Hipódromo Presidente Remón. The main event is the International Classic of the Caribbean.

Yesterday, during a press conference, the details of this traditional annual event were announced. The official announcement was led by Carlos de Oliveira, Director of the Hipódromo Presidente Remón; Rafael Fernández, President of the Organizing Committee; José Zajía, President of the Caribbean Confederation of Horse Racing; and Miguel Ordóñez, General Director of Pandeportes.

Owners, trainers, jockeys, breeders, and veterinarians whose horses will participate in the six scheduled events also attended. During the event, the draw for starting positions for the cups that make up the Caribbean Racing Series was held. These cups are dedicated to outstanding figures in the sport: the Caribbean Fraternity Cup in honor of Gisela Moscoso de Palermo; the Caribbean Lady Cup in homage to Graciela Quelquejeu de Chapman; the Caribbean Speed Cup, dedicated to Anel Miranda Batista; the Invitational Cup for Imported Horses, in honor of Mandred Codik and Eugenio Deschampas; and the Caribbean Fraternity Cup, in honor of Luis Shirley Campbell.

Subsequently, the draw for the International Classic of the Caribbean, dedicated to the renowned trainer Alberto Paz Rodríguez, was conducted, resulting in the following lineup:
