This collaboration, branded as 'We are Canaleros', aims to project pride, unity, and excellence. The official support not only backs the Senior Team but also drives initiatives to benefit FPF's development programs and youth categories, expanding its social impact. This historic partnership, which has supported sports for generations, was formalized at an event that highlighted the Canal's commitment to discipline, collective effort, and excellence. The event was attended by the Administrator of the Panama Canal, Ricaurte Vásquez; the acting President of the FPF, Fernando Arce; and prominent figures from the men's and women's national teams, youth players, and national football legends. During his speech, the Administrator of the Panama Canal, Ricaurte Vásquez, emphasized the importance of this support at a significant moment for the country, referring to the historic qualification for the 2026 World Cup. 'The Panama Canal has been, for generations, a symbol of sovereignty, unity, and progress. The Panama Canal highlighted the collective force that emerged after the World Cup qualification, reiterating that its mission transcends connecting oceans to connect the nation and its dreams. Just as we connect oceans, we also connect Panama with its spirit of excellence,' stated Vásquez. 'On this road to the World Cup, We are Canaleros, united, disciplined, and proud of our Team,' he added. Impact on FPF's Development Programs This alliance includes all National Teams and their various categories. Its scope will allow for initiatives that benefit not only the Senior Team but also the various development programs and youth categories of the FPF, expanding its social and sporting impact in communities nationwide. Fernando Arce, acting President of the FPF, stressed that this alliance will strengthen development projects that will benefit young people and communities.
