Members of the Panama national football team visited the Ciudad de la Salud as part of a visit organized by the Professional Footballers Association of Panama (Afutpa).
The Tauro FC forward Gabriel 'Gaby' Torres, Nacional de Uruguay goalkeeper Luis 'Manotas' Mejía, and San Diego FC (MLS) midfielder Aníbal Godoy brought joy to the children admitted to the hospital center.
The players, accompanied by Afutpa president Juan Ramón Solís, brought gifts, but most importantly, they took the time to share with these little warriors who fight every day to keep going.
«Those who defend the country on the field shared a special moment with the heroes who do so from health centers.»
Beyond recognizing the invaluable work of the healthcare staff, iconic figures of our football such as Gabriel Torres, Luis Mejía, and Aníbal Godoy brought hope in the form of smiles, gifts, and a warm sharing this December, accompanying the little warriors who fight every day to move forward.»
