Horse «Silencio Criminal» wins Clásico Navidad

The national horse «Silencio Criminal» won the Clásico Navidad (G3), in honor of Antonio «Bimbito» Eskildsen, in a tight finish held at the Hipódromo Presidente Remón, confirming his good moment and proving he is one of the best horses of his generation. In a high-paced race, «Silencio Criminal», with jockey Yonis Lasso, led almost the entire course and in the final stretches responded to his jockey's call, facing the attacks of «Capo Falcone», who abruptly changed several lines, interfering with «Silencio Criminal's» action, so the stewards placed him second, leaving «Silencio Criminal» as the winner of one of the most traditional events on the national equestrian calendar. Bred at Haras Cerro Punta and son of Giant Gizmo and Miss Tip Tap Top, the horse defended the colors of the iconic Stud Buena Fe, thus achieving his second victory in four appearances, a result that supports his progress on the track and leaves him as a serious contender for the upcoming tests of the 2026 Caribbean Racing Series. The race was run over 1,400 meters, a distance «Silencio Criminal» covered in 1:26.4, facing a highly competitive field. After the race, owner Andrés Farrugia Jr. valued the work done by the team: «It was a good race and the horse responded to the expectations. We are prepared for the upcoming tests and we have a great team of professionals supporting the performance of the specimen».
