After a slow start, the Panama Metro and Los Santos teams have fully entered the fight for one of the spots in the Series of Eight of the National Youth Baseball Championship 'Copa Caja de Ahorros'. The teams from Los Santos and the capital have managed to reach a .500 average with seven wins and an equal number of defeats, placing them in fifth place in the table alongside Chiriquí Occidente. The Azuero team had a 3-6 record, but in their last five games, they have a 4-1 record, climbing significantly in the standings. On the other hand, the capital team had a poor start, losing their first three games, but from their fourth game onwards, they have a 7-4 record. Coincidentally, these two teams will face each other today at the Rod Carew Stadium starting at 7:00 PM. The standings are still dominated by the Vaqueros de Panamá Oeste with a record of 12 wins and one loss, followed by Coclé with 11 wins and three losses. With the exception of the teams whose games have been suspended due to rain, there are nine dates left for the Regular Series of the tournament to conclude, from which the top eight records will advance to the next stage.
