Tired of lacking a regular and safe-for-human-consumption water supply, residents of the Paseo del Bosque neighborhood, located in Penonomé, protested on Monday to demand a definitive solution to the problem from the housing project's developer. One of the group's spokeswomen explained that for five years they have faced irregularities in the supply and quality of the water. She stated that when the service reaches their homes, the water is turbid. The residents also accuse the company of not providing adequate maintenance to the water treatment plant and the storage tank, two essential components for guaranteeing a healthy and safe environment. Faced with this situation, the residents reiterated their call to the developer to address their demands. Police units intervened during the protest to reopen the road that had been obstructed by the demonstrators, which generated significant traffic congestion.
