Penonomé Municipality and Cobre Panamá Light Up Christmas

On Friday, December 5th, the Municipality of Penonomé and Cobre Panamá held the Christmas tree lighting ceremony, inspired this year by the concept “Santa's Dreams.” This event, aimed at sparking imagination, unity, and hope within the community, brought together hundreds of families in Parque 8 de Diciembre. From early morning, the park was transformed into a vibrant space: Christmas carols, children's activities, and a local entrepreneurs' market created an ideal atmosphere for family time and boosting the local economy. At 7:00 p.m., the lights were switched on, and the park was illuminated in a spectacular show combining color, tradition, and the unique charm of the season. Vice Mayor of Penonomé, Valentín Damasco, noted that this event was made possible through the joint efforts of the Municipality of Penonomé, Cobre Panamá, Glamour Storage, and various community allies who worked together to offer the population a memorable afternoon. Maru Gálvez, on behalf of Cobre Panamá, expressed gratitude, saying, “At Cobre Panamá, we just want to say: Thank you.” Some of the children who participated in the Christmas evening shared their happiness with the gifts they received. For example, Dayana Alexandra was thrilled with the headphones she had wanted for a long time. Likewise, some parents mentioned that it was a pleasant and magical moment that their children thoroughly enjoyed.
