Diómedes Sánchez S. was finally arrested and brought to justice on the Atlantic coast for being the driver who transported an accomplice to rob a pizzeria in the Sabanitas district of the Colón province. At the location, the subject stole a bag containing $2,269.10 that were to be deposited. After the robbery, the driver helped the man who committed the crime escape. During the hearing, the Regional Prosecutor's Office of Colón and Guna Yala requested the legalization of the apprehension and the formulation of charges as an accomplice to robbery, requests that were admitted. Finally, a precautionary measure of provisional detention was decreed for the crime of robbery, under the supervision of the First Section of Crimes against Economic Property of the Regional Prosecutor's Office of Colón and Guna Yala. Police investigations led to his detention and presentation before a guarantees judge. The thieves took more than $2,000 from the proceeds of the establishment's sales. The case dates back to February 18, when it is presumed that the accused drove a vehicle that transported a man to the commercial establishment dedicated to pizza sales.
