The latter are demanding a cheaper fare for residents compared to tourists. For context, locals complain that the fare was $20, but recently it has increased, which does not benefit them. Initially, they have requested that the fare be frozen while an official agreement is reached. Throughout the meeting, they stated that transport companies have not taken them into account when making such an important decision. It was learned that during the meeting with the Vice Minister of the Presidency, Virna Luque, it was established that the pier in the area would be open for trips, but later they said that they would not let anyone into the place.
