Meduca trains over 50,000 teachers

The Ministry of Education of Panama is carrying out a training program for more than 50 thousand teachers with the aim of focusing on educational innovation. This initiative is being implemented through the Entre Pares 5.0 program, which places special emphasis on the use of technological tools such as institutional email, Microsoft Teams, Digital Notebook, and Artificial Intelligence.

One of the key areas of the training is the integration of these technological tools into the educational process, in order to improve the quality of teaching and learning. Teachers are being trained on how to use these tools effectively in the classroom, as well as in planning their lessons and evaluating students.

According to the Ministry of Education, this training aims to prepare teachers for the 2025 school year, equipping them with the necessary competencies to adapt to a constantly evolving educational environment. The idea is for teachers to integrate technology in an innovative and creative way into their pedagogical practice, thus benefiting students and improving academic outcomes.

In the words of the Minister of Education, this training program seeks to empower teachers and provide them with the necessary tools to face the challenges of education in the 21st century. The intention is to promote a more modern and student-centered educational model that fosters the development of 21st-century skills and prepares young people for an increasingly digital future.
