The President of Panama, José Raúl Mulino, arrived on Tuesday in Davos, Switzerland, to participate in the World Economic Forum. During his stay, he is expected to seek investment opportunities for his country. His first meeting at this event was with senior executives from the shipping company Maersk, which included Vicent Clerc from Maersk, alongside the Administrator of the Panama Canal, Ricaute Vásquez, the presidential advisor on logistics, Alberto Alemán Zubieta, and the Minister of Commerce and Industries, Julio Moltó.

As part of his participation in the Forum, President Mulino also has scheduled meetings with important figures, such as the President of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), Ilan Goldfajn, and the Prime Minister of Vietnam, Pham Minh Ching. Additionally, he will attend the opening dinner of the event, which is expected to have the presence of high-level authorities, including the founder of the World Economic Forum, Klaus Schwab, and his wife Hilde Schwab.

The World Economic Forum, in its 55th edition, is taking place from January 20 to 24 in the alpine town of Davos. At this event, political and business leaders from around the world seek to promote the transition to a digital and sustainable economy, highlighting global trade and the role of artificial intelligence.
