In the recent meeting between the presidents of Panama and Peru, the interest of Panama in being removed from the list of countries with low or no tax imposition was discussed. For his part, the President of Peru expressed his willingness to work together with Panama to achieve the prompt signing of the Double Taxation Agreement. Both nations agreed on the importance of this instrument to strengthen economic and commercial relations, as well as to promote sustainable development in the region.
In this regard, both parties committed to continue dialoguing and collaborating closely in the negotiation and drafting of this agreement, with the aim of finalizing it in the near future.
