Former ministers and partners, Rafael Sabonge (MOP) and Counselor José A. Rojas Pardini, from the previous government, have been subjected to an embargo amounting to $9,730,239.99. This action was taken by the fifth civil circuit court of the first judicial circuit of Panama. The embargo arises from a legal process initiated by Multibank against Sabonge and Rojas Pardini and was announced in edict 150 on Friday, January 24, 2025.
44 properties belonging to the companies Casacampo Investment Corp. and Desarrollo Convivienda, SA, related to residential projects in Las Lajas, Chame, are affected by this embargo. These real estate properties have been involved in problematic situations that have harmed customers.
**It is noteworthy:** "I am sure this embargo is a maneuver to damage my image and that of former minister Rojas Pardini," Sabonge mentioned in a brief statement to the media.
The situation the former ministers find themselves in has generated concern and raised questions about the financial and legal transactions that have led to this measure.
