Citi Foundation Launches 2025 Global Innovation Challenge

The Citi Foundation has launched the Global Innovation Challenge 2025, through which 50 awards of B/ 500,000 will be granted to community organizations to support innovative employment solutions aimed at underprivileged youth. This initiative seeks to promote the development of projects that generate sustainable and quality job opportunities for this sector of the population.

According to Gustavo A. MarĂn, Director of the Citi Foundation for Central America and the Caribbean, "the Global Innovation Challenge 2025 aims to provide financial support to organizations working on creating quality youth employment and implementing innovative practices in the labor field."

Organizations interested in participating in this challenge must submit proposals that suggest creative and effective solutions to address youth unemployment and promote labor inclusion. In addition to the funding granted, selected projects will receive technical assistance and support for their implementation and follow-up.

The deadline for submitting proposals is next September, after which a panel of experts will evaluate the projects and select the 50 winning organizations. It is expected that these initiatives will significantly contribute to generating sustainable job opportunities and strengthening the labor insertion of vulnerable youth.
