The Consumer Protection and Competition Defense Authority (Acodeco) recommended that parents and guardians compare prices before purchasing uniforms and school supplies for the upcoming school year. According to the regulatory body, shirts can be found ranging from B/ 2.99 to B/ 7.99, while skirts and pants have a cost range of B/ 4.99 to B/ 10.99.
"It is necessary for consumers to pay attention to the offers and promotions that different stores provide, to ensure they are getting the best prices for uniforms and school supplies," emphasized a spokesperson for Acodeco.
In this regard, parents and guardians are advised to make a preliminary tour of different stores to compare prices and product quality. It is also advisable to be alert to possible discounts and special offers that may help save money during this time of year. It is important to remember that the Unique Registration Form (PUI) sets a limit on the cost of school supplies that private schools can request from parents, so it is essential to consider this aspect when making purchases.
