The National Government, through the Ministry of the Presidency, in its capacity as President of the Board of Directors of the Panama Maritime Authority (AMP), deemed it appropriate to request from the current representatives of the equity capital of this company all the documentation related to the purchase and sale of the equity capital.
The Minister of the Presidency, Juan Carlos Orillac, reported that Panama is not aware of this transaction. The AMP will require the PPC company to provide information regarding the sale of the concession of the ports of Balboa and Cristóbal.
President José Raúl Mulino and the Council will be investigating this matter to clarify the details of the transaction and ensure transparency in all operations related to the mentioned ports.
The National Government, through the AMP, will request all documentation related to the transaction that resulted in the purchase of the operations of the ports of Balboa and Cristóbal.
