Christmas fairs will begin on December 2nd and will be held simultaneously in several locations across the country for the first time. The affordable price will be B/.15.00 for the public and will run from December 2nd to 5th. The fairs will kick off in the provinces of Chiriquí, Los Santos, Herrera, and Panamá (Chepo), bringing affordable products to thousands of families. This was announced by the director of the Institute of Agri-Marketing (IMA), Nillo Murillo, at the new store in San Antonio, where he detailed what the Christmas Box would include. One of the most anticipated products for the population is the 10 pounds of rice, as well as salt, sugar, a can of gandules, and a picnic ham with bone, all for a cost of $15.00. This year, the IMA will expand its coverage, increasing the number of fairs from 89 in 2024 to 123 in 2025, with the goal of reaching more communities and ensuring that a greater number of families can benefit, with approximately 500,000 boxes available. The IMA reminded the public that to make their purchases, they must bring cash, their ID, and a reusable bag. Full details regarding the schedule, locations, and other relevant information will be announced in a timely manner on the IMA's official social media channels.
