The General Directorate of Public Procurement (DGCP) decided to lift the suspension that halted the public tender for the purchase of laptops and Microsoft licenses for students and teachers in the public education system. The pause had been issued due to a complaint, but the resolution is now final, and the Ministry of Education can proceed with the process. This involves a package of nearly 600,000 computers for teachers and students, plus the necessary licenses to operate the digital platform. The reference price of the bid exceeds 230 million dollars. The DGCP justified that, with the technical report on the table, the suspension was not justified and the tender could proceed. Meanwhile, Meduca requested to change the deadline for proposal submissions from November 20 to December 3, as bidders were unable to prepare the documentation on time.
