The Ministry of Social Development (MIDES) reported the temporary suspension of payments from the Conditional Cash Transfer Programs (PTMC) at 18 payment points in the province of Darién, in the Emberá Wounaan Comarca. This is due to adverse weather conditions, security situations on access roads, and the risk of river flooding. According to MIDES, these circumstances prevent safe personnel travel by air and water to the payment points located in the districts of Camogantí, Río Congo, Paya, Púcuro, Tucutí, Jaqué, Puerto Piña, Yape, Boca de Cupé, Sambú, Taimatí, and Garachiné in the province of Darién. In the Emberá Wounaan Comarca, the payment points in the districts of Manuel Ortega, Cirilo Gaynora, Río Sábalo, and Jingurudó will be affected. The reactivation of this mission will be subject to the evaluation and authorization of security authorities, who will determine the opportune moment to resume operations.
