Panama, December 2, 2025 – The Institute of Agropecuary Marketing (IMA) began its 2025 Naviferias season on Tuesday, December 2, in the provinces of Chiriquí, Los Santos, and Herrera. The goal is to offer essential products at accessible prices during the end-of-year holidays.

At these fairs, attendees can purchase the traditional Christmas bags, which include 10 pounds of rice, a can of gandules, salt, sugar, and a picnic ham with bone. Of these, a total of 300,000 are national production.

IMA will make a total of 500,000 bags with these products available to the public, ensuring a wide supply for Panamanian families.

This initiative will extend until December 22, when IMA will reach the metropolitan island circuit, covering islands such as Taboga, Otoque, San Miguel, La Ensenada, La Guinea, Pedro González, Saboga, among others.

IMA authorities remind the population that only one Christmas bag will be sold per family, upon presentation of the buyer's ID, and add that attendees must carry cash to purchase their products.
