The Council of Cabinet has approved extending the benefits of the Tariff Fund of the West (FTO) for the end customers of the Electric Distribution Company of Chiriquí, S.A. (EDECHI), until June 30, 2026. This was done through Resolution No. 143-25 of December 23, 2025. This new resolution extends the validity of the scheme adopted by the State through Cabinet Resolution No. 60 of June 23, 2015, and its amendments. The provisions of the new resolution will benefit customers in the provinces of Chiriquí and Bocas del Toro, as well as the Ngäbe Buglé region.
